Member of the Mexican Society of Public Health and of the Mexican Society of Genomic Medicine.  General Director and Founder of the National Institute of Public Health (1987–1992); Executive Vice-president of the Mexican Foundation for Health (1995- 1998); Secretary of Health of the Federal Government (2000-2006); Director of Innovation in Health from the World Health Organization (1987-2000).

Guillermo Soberón

Received his Medical Degree from the UNAM, he has a PhD in physiology from the University of Wisconsin. Member of the National College (1981- ), is a Member of the National Academy of Medicine (1959- ), Chairman of the National Academy of Medicine (1973-1974); Founding President of the Mexican Society of Biochemistry (1957), Founding Member of the Mexican Society of Physiological Sciences (1957). Coordinator of Sciences of the UNAM (1971-1973), Dean of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (1973-1981), Secretary of Health of the Federal Government (1982-1988), Executive Chairman (1988-2005) and Emeritus Chairman of the Mexican Foundation for Health (2005 up to date); Member of the Consultative Board of Sciences of the Presidency of Mexico.

TREASURER
Santiago March Mifsut

Received his Medical Degree from the UNAM, he was trained in Pathologic Anatomy, with a Certificate in Business Planning and Development from the ITAM.   He served as the Academic Coordinator of the Consorcio Promotor del Instituto de Medicina Genómica (2002-2004). Director of the Teaching Department (2005-2006 and 2010) and Director of Research (2007-2009) at the INMEGEN. He is scientific and technological coordinator of the Project: “Mapa del genoma de poblaciones mexicanas” (Genome map of Mexican populations). Founding member of the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) and of the Mexican Society of Medical Education.  Member of the People Population Project in Genomics Group (P3G). Head Professor of Genomic Medicine and Human Genetics of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Director of Strategic Projects Global Biotech Consulting Group (2011 up to date).

Emeritus researcher of the UNAM, Dean of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (1985-1989), member of the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas where he acted as Director. Visiting professor in the following Universities: Complutense, Antwerp and Havana. National Emeritus Investigator of the National System of Investigators (SNI) Level III. Chairman of the Executive Board of the Union of Universidades de América Latina. Chairman of the Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Constitucional. He held the positions of Minister of Justice of the Supreme Court of Justice of Mexico, founding President of the National Human Rights Commission, Attorney General of the Republic, Secretary of the Interior and Mexican Ambassador in France.

He has a PhD from New York and California Universities.  Chairman of Carral y Asociados, S.C. firm with over 40 years of experience in international banking.  Representative of Mexico before Bank of America and Vice-chairman of said bank for over 25 years.  Representative of Mexico before Credit Commercial de France, a position he held for 15 years.  Founder, Vice-chairman Senior and Representative of Intermex.  Advisor of multiple international companies like HSBC México, Bank of Tokyo, Mitsubishi, Alcatel, California Commerce Bank, Bancrecer and Continental Airlines. Associate Member of the Mexican Health Foundation and Advisor of UNICEF México.
